Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication – Leonardo DaVinci

It is also the key to success in my experience. Pair it all down. Pair down your efforts, your thoughts, your beliefs about what can and cannot happen; what is and is not possible. Remove as much extraneous stuff that doesn’t serve your goals as possible.
“What if I’m not clear on my goals?” – you say.
Well then, that’s probably why your life feels complicated.
Get clear on what you want, and what you’re here for, and all else will follow…
Clarity is the number one key.
What do you want, and what are you here for?
Take a moment to ask yourself those two simple questions. With a dedication and commitment to that, life becomes a lot more simple. Another thing that REALLY helps, is connecting to the source of who you really are. I find that nature and the breath is useful for this.
I’m fond of beach swims, forest walks and big mountain creek cannon balls…
Of course, the mind wants more, so here are 21 easy hacks to simplify your life…
The Fierce Wisdom way of simplicity… watch your mind take the simplest truths and twist them into excuses, stories, and other forms of resistance. Take the resistance and spin it on its head. You are an infinite being of pure brilliant consciousness, and simple glorious perfection at your essence.
Connecting with that essence, let there be joy, and restfulness, and simplicity. All that is needed is to peel away the identification with confusion and chaos in your mind.
Take the deepest lessons from the simplest truths. Let the truth sit with you, and watch how your mind resists the simplicity of it. It’s fun to watch, and even more fun to transcend the resistance…
As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler; solitude will not be solitude, poverty will not be poverty, nor weakness weakness. - Henry David Thoreau

With love,

This sounds ideally but I do think with all that exists in this world we have made it is hard to clear the mind of the crap. I hope to live a simple life but life seems to come and kick you in the butt sometimes. These moments make it hard. I will continue to strive for the simple. Thanks for the reminder Satya!!
I agree Heather! It is hard, but not impossible. The hardest things in life are often the most important, and most rewarding to accomplish! Simplicity is no exception, and it is in fact, quite simple at its core… i will be sharing more on techniques and tips in coming posts. Much love~
I agree about the challenges being an important part of the journey for us. Difficulties and pain tend to become blinding. It IS crap in the mind and at a certain point I have said simply, “time to draw a line (behind me) and move forward”.
Will be looking to see more discussion and tips on this topic Satya. Great title!
Thanks Robin for your wonderful comments — will definitely be sharing more along these lines… good to know you care
A very timely message for me, my friend, as I have been systematically simplifying things in my life. As I have been getting rid of the clutter, I can literally feel the weight being lifted off me. Thanks for sharing. You do share fierce wisdom.
:) you are just FABULOUS Debbie, just wanted to send you out that belated reminder! – keep clearing and keep rockin :)
I love this blog post, Satya. Thanks so much for providing value related to be SIMPLISTIC. Its so true. Personaly, I diversify too much and I keep hearing Alex Trudeau saying “Do not diversify” … the successful ones are those who focus on one or two projects at a time. God Bless Bro. – Curt from Crushers!
Hey Curt — thanks so much, It’s so true, I’ve had that struggle myself. When you commit to one or two projects you’re 100% totally committed and passionate about, it becomes a lot easier. Sometimes it just takes getting super clear and committed to who we are and what that purpose is…
Nature is magical and cleanses the senses for sure..
My world has been filled with crazy choices that brought me to ‘who’ I am. There is a ton I am grateful for. But at last I am having a much clearer vision about the hidden treasures that can take us all to where we want to be, in balance. There are many who clearly share true joy with the world because they can – they’ve found it. I believe as we discover that very sweet spot within, we each have have a uniquely wonderful gift to share.
sometimes we just have to take the time to get to that sweet spot…
