Fierce Wisdom: A Community of World Changers, Emerging Leaders and Freedom Fighters…

There are few things more fun or “social” than interacting, shaping, and evolving with a community of like-minded souls working towards common goals; in this case, the upliftment, self-realization, and personal empowerment of the people of the world….

The great force and benefit of the community is in its sheer mechanics: the contribution of so many voices, so many diverse opinions, and the great range of experience intrinsic in a setting that is available to all people the world over. Therefore, I invite you to:

Introduce yourself, and share a link (if you like…)

Here we break the unwritten rule against self-promotional links in the body of blog comments! I’ve always enjoyed stretching the rules to their breaking point, so in this case, I am going to ENCOURAGE you to go all out with a link to your website, a blog post, or a link to the work of someone you respect and admire; someone who is working to change the world, make a difference, transform themselves, or break the paradigms of selfish greed, complicity and conformity which have become all but commonplace in our contemporary lives.

This is a brand-spankin’ new site so not expecting a firestorm to start out with, but this post will be at the top of the community section for a while, and I expect the community to grow rather quickly so there’s a good chance of getting great exposure and meeting some like-minded folks you can possibly even start building alliances with….

More on the Intention Thing

The whole being greater than the sum of its parts, the potential magic to arise from this community is awe-inspiring to consider. I’m looking forward to it…

To those ends, you will find in these pages some of the greatest inspirational, intelligent and practical wisdom from the great, established and emerging leaders of our times, as well as world changers, fighters of the status quo, the rebel spirits and “transformationalists” (I think i just made that word up). It is my intention in this gathering place of great wisdom to help forge a stronger connection between us all, so that the whole may benefit even more, and the individual and collective transformation we seek will have potential to wield a far greater force than it would otherwise.

A Community of World-Changers, Freedom Fighters, and Emerging Leaders

If that sounds right to you, this is your place. Linchpins? You know who you are. According to the good ole’ Wikipedia:

The word “community” is derived from the Old French communité which is derived from the Latin communitas (cum, “with/together” + munus, “gift”)….

In other words, “the gift of togetherness” — isn’t that grand? This is a place to share that grand, gorgeous gift. – Welcome.

Here are the rules:

1. This is a place for exploring self-realization, leadership, changing the world and general all-around online ass-kicking. Expect to be pushed beyond your comfort zone, and possibly forced to question everything (we generally consider those to be good things.)

2. You are encouraged to adopt a “beginners mind.” That is, let go of the belief that you’ve: a) been there, done that, already get whatever “it” is; b) NOT able to do that because of X experience(s) from your past. For those on the quest for enlightenment and/or world domination, this is sort of a pre-requisite.

3. There are no rules (other than a general ixnay on any sort of bashing or other “uncivil” behavior, which will not be tolerated – sorry weird spammers and other hopeless dregs of society, you are not welcome here – everyone else, carpe diem).

The best way to get into the ‘inner circle’ and stay in the loop here, is to join the Fierce Wisdom newsletter below, where I will be informing you of the juicy insider stuff every couple weeks. For those anemic to email subscriptions, there’s always the RSS feed, and for those die-hard “transformationalists” who want to get updates to their email every day that we post here, there’s the subscribe to blog updates via Feedburner option.

    Hi Satya,

What a great environment you are creating here for self-expression, growth and support! I, too, have a long history of bending and stretching the rules to the max. I’ve been on quite a journey and it’s not over yet! A little insight into my journey can be found at http://www.1lynnallen.com/courage-and-confidence-the-rest-of-the-story/. Thanks for this community. Love ya!

Awesome!! I love the idea of community, too.. teamwork makes the dream work…

I got thinking as you broke the word “community” down… that it could also mean the gifts we give together!

    Blessings!

Thanks Satya for this wonderful community. There are 2 concepts I really enjoy. Be the change you wish to see in the world, and we’re all connected by invisible heartstrings. I think this community embodies both.

I’m excited to be a part of it and watch it grow! Dare something worthy!

    • Satya Colombo July 2, 2010 at 6:02 am #

Such a cool idea, Satya. And right on time, too, coming up on this fullest full moon of the year, which is lending energy to the forces of “Light” wherever they are joining together – happening this Sunday at 6:38pm Pacific Time. “Very auspicious!” says the vedic astrologer: margalaube.com

Here’s something I’ve been inspired by lately: Greg Mortenson’s story of building schools high up in the mountains of Muslim Pakistan, as told in the books Three Cups of Tea, and Stones into Schools. I like that he’s bringing education to impoverished areas, and making education available to the Muslim girls there, without trying to enforce western ideology/religion/values. He simply saw a need, and responded, without judgment. That’s some fierce wisdom right there.

    Happy full moon, everybody..

Thank you Marga — auspicious indeed! — thank you for your contribution to the discussion. Your insights into fierce wisdom, and expertise in vedic astrology, are such powerful tools for transformation… knowledge and education are the keys to our global transformation.

    Hi Satya,

I just caught your interview with Danielle LaPorte on her Facebook page and was struck by the parallels between Fierce Wisdom and the website/creation I just launched, The Liberated Life Project (http://liberatedlifeproject.com)

This is indeed a powerful time for inner and outer change, and one can’t happen without the other. I’m delighted to find your site and look forward to supporting each other! I’ll be happy to share your site with lots of good folks.

    in peace,
    Maia

    Hi Satya,
Glad to have found your blog. I particularly like the first of your 9 core principles. I guess I’m still figuring things out on my end. May be the 30s crisis. Who knows?

Anyway, I’ll be looking forward to learn more from you.

    All the best.
    Michel

    • Satya December 9, 2010 at 8:56 pm #

Ahhh Michel — you have a wonderful site. I love your style, and writing.
Yes, the 1st one is the most important! I’m working on developing more content to help with that (for any age :))

Welcome, and looking forward to get to know you better…. – it’s a great time to be alive!

    Satya,

Reading your words is like meeting an old friend. An old friend from another lifetime. We said let’s be born THEN so we can take mankind to the next level. Much gratitude for openly sharing your truth. I look so forward to the progress being made through conscious conversation. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” It is in our words brother.

    Om shanti!
